Japanese Garden Screen Saver

Eivytn.gif (26614 bytes)

A peaceful place so breath-takingly perfect you hate to strike a key.  When I shot these, there were honest-to-God Japanese gardeners in practical, dirt-colored kimonos pulling weeds an inch high out of the moss that grows rampant everywhere.  The music is an old Japanese folk song on guitar.

Artists Notes:  This is the same music as the Bonsai screen saver.   I'm sorry, I looked forever and never found anything I liked better, so I had to use it again.  The music is just to keep you from leaving the house with the computer on anyway.
My daughter had one of those miracle babies on Easter Sunday, and I had raised the children that when anyone gets sick, we all go to the hospital and camp on the front lawn, and pad the house by bringing extended family when available, and generally make nuisances of ourselves.  The nurses made kind remarks about her "wonderful support system", tripped over our baggage, and didn't throw us out.  In exchange for their kindness, I tried to make myself scarce after the birth in a strange land far from home, which led to a lot of pictures, and many adventures, and fascinating conversations with helpful,  friendly natives, most of whom also can't figure out where you are on this map.

The Seattle Story, about my trip.

This is a 6.7 meg file, because there are 41 different pictures, and the resolution is killer.  Runs on any version of Windows, and uninstalls in one click.  I promise you won't mind the download when you see it.  Images were shot at the Seattle Japanese Garden.

The song "Itsuki no Komori-Uta" was originally a Japanese folk song.  I am eternally grateful to the artist for sharing.
